Eccentrix - New Team Rose

So they're not actually part of the Eccentrix. I just put the tag up like that, cuz their character is expanded for this verse! Curious? Let me elucidate!

Big the Cat and Froggy - This time around, Big the cat would probably remind you of say...Forrest Gump. Instead of the stereotypical "stupid voice", he'd have something of a thick southern drawl to him. And just like Forrest, he has a LOT of stories to tell. 

How he once lived in a highly militarized tribal nation known as the Mysterious Cat Country. A place that is frankly pre-medieval in technology, xenophobic tendencies, AND their unusual violent and barbaric behavior. Big the Cat had always been a little slow compared to his fellow Felidae, but even that bit of weakness was grounds for them to...do stuff. Like say, devouring weak children who show no potential. Torturing children too strong for their own good with bullet ants until they learn to obey. Exiling those who can't stay in line. And the sacrifice rituals...so many sacrifice rituals. 

Big had been drafted into their military, and had shown off his amazing strength. He had tolerated his people's violence for this long. Yet the VERY LAST STRAW FOR HIM...was when he was being trained for outdoor survival. A fellow soldier picked up a scared frog from the pond, and gave it to him, expecting him to eat it. And when Big refused, letting the frog live, and stating he would fish his food instead...his friend reported him for weakness. Froggy would have been eaten alive, had Big not used his strength to save this frog! For defying orders AND attacking his superiors, he was sentenced to exile under pain of death. But he needn't be exiled...he left on his own.

He NEVER came back to his old, violent home, and spent the rest of his days enjoying the peace of the world around him. Not knowing that his life within the Mysterious Cat Country had made him immensely strong. 

To him...life is just like fishing. He never knows what he's gonna get, but he's content to reel it in all the same.

Amy Rose - This is where all of those seemingly disjointed abilities she had finally come together. Her disappearing-reappearing hammer, tarot card fascination, ability to vanish in Sonic 06? They will now make sense, and also provide her with a backstory! 

You see...Amy had been born with the ability to use Ixis Magicks. This is a very big deal, because only the Order of Ixis is supposed to have that! It's possible that her family may be descendants of that dark and sinister society, which had already painted Amy in a highly negative light. You know? Being the daughter of a potential dark wizard is no laughing matter.

She had been ostracized for a long time by her peers, and even some adults who knew what was going on. Not so much in a bullying fashion, as much as "trying to make a scary monster go away" kind of fashion. Thus...Amy grew up believing she was a monster. After all, they had to be getting something right about her! And those bouts of uncontrolled magic helped nothing!

It had gotten so bad that Amy had eventually visited a group of Extreme Gear users known as the Witchcarters, who worked for the troll witch, Wendy Naugus. Another descendant of the Order of Ixis. She knew how to teach Amy the secrets of controlling Ixis Magicks, and would so so, in exchange for her loyalty to her. So, with no place left to go, and no one else left to trust...Amy took her offer. She joined the Witchcarters. She begun as a villain.

It had worked for a while. And then...Wendy pit her up against Sonic. A person she was already a fan of, yet ashamed to be seen by her idol, doing evil deeds!

Predictably enough, Sonic beat her in a battle. Predictably enough, Wendy kicked her off the team, called her a lost cause, doomed to be seen as as monster, and threatened to punish her should she ever want to come back. Predictably enough, Amy all but gave up on life there and then. For there was no place left for her...

...but nobody expected Sonic to stand up to Wendy's cruelty towards Amy. He told Amy, she's not a monster. She's not a bad person. He already forgave Amy for her actions under Wendy. And that she deserves better than this.

And after soundly beating Wendy for her villainy, and making her run away with her tail between her legs...he gave her something better after all. A place among the Freedom Fighters.

That was the start of it. Her infatuation towards Sonic. And she'd only find more reasons to love him ever since then.

Cream, Cheese, and Chocola - Ah yes, Cream the Rabbit. You may notice that the outfit she wears here is her Sonic Riders outfit! In this incarnation, it's not so much sports wear as much as it is her training clothes, because she has a bright future ahead of her.

Cream the Rabbit's father is....a douche. Something around the lines of this Felix 'Feel' Lightfoot [Cream's Father] , (credit goes to ), who basically had powers that Cream inherited. Except after getting Vanilla pregnant, he couldn't be assed to be a father, and be there for his daughter. Nope. He doesn't want the responsibility of that. But he DOES watch Cream's development closely, so that he can butt in later and take the credit of being Cream's father when she becomes famous. What a jackass, rite?

But I'm getting ahead of myself! How did she even get accepted into the Freedom Fighters? Why are they willing to let her train? MY FRIENDS, that's because Cream proved her bravery, and sheer potential in power already. 

It happened during that one Sonic Heroes storyline, when Metal Sonic stole Chocola Chao to scan his data. Cream already had her father's powers to begin with. But upon hearing her dear Cheese's brother had been kidnapped? She...didn't ask the grown-ups for help, because they were too busy. And she didn't wanna bother them anyway. So she just went to go take care of it herself! Y'know, until Amy and Big showed up to help. But it was still her own fight that she was determined to see through, six years old or not. 

After many hard fights, when she found Chocola Chao...he had been mistreated so thoroughly by Metal Sonic that it already evolved into a Dark Chao. A very aggressive one, filled with fear, who had begun biting Cream in terror. Yet she didn't let go...she and Cheese both hugged poor Chocola until he calmed down. After all the fights he had been part of, it was with this final act of goodness that caused Cheese to evolve into a Hero Chao! 

Cream was later on scolded for being so reckless, rushing into danger for a single chao. But she was also complimented for her sheer bravery, even as a child. So...since evil people aren't going away any time soon, why not get some professional training while she's at it?
