"NOW...human. What would you like to know about?

"Listen carefully, human! This is a highly advanced age we live in, so you don't have to worry about stuffing your items in a backpack. Not when you have CAPSULES. CAPSULES are small objects that store items of a specific size. For example, try storing your food in this Small size capsule!"

They were handed a tiny capsule no bigger than their thumb, with the number "4" on it, and a push-able cap on top. Frisk held the Donut they were holding near the capsule, which used a sort of scanner on it, before reducing the item to a cloud of orange matter, and being absorbed into the capsule. Upon storage completion, Frisk's back utility pack shined a kind of light beam on it, which guided the capsule into a small slot, and stored the item away.

"Very good! And if you want to release the item back again, then push the cap."

Small Inventory: 1/35

Selecting the said item with their Omni-tool, the light beam guided the capsule out of storage again, and back into their hand. Where Frisk then pushed the capsule's top cap, causing a cloud of orange dust to emit from it, and manifest back in Frisk's hand as the exact same donut they stored away!

"There you go! How's THAT for saving room? You may not know it, but your pack is currently full of capsules. Try finding items to collect on the way!"

"Sad to say, two things. Your inventory may run out of room. And your utilities, The Propulsion Systems, the Puzzle Hack Program, the Omni-Blade, and whatever personal vehicle you may possess are all relatively special privileges. They all have a battery life, and should by all accounts be used responsibly. But to re-power these objects, you can simply use the "Convert to Omni-Gel" function to melt down unwanted items into Omni-Gel, which can restore and/or boost power to these items! Try it out!"

"Yeah...we're all trying out best to make do. In contrast to the halcyon days of the Alien Golden Age, many of us are divided these days. We all thought we were so much better than the Human Race, but in truth, we can all be every bit as stupid, irrational and panicky as any other species in the galaxy. You're a human who has the potential to be so much stronger than we can comprehend so...we humbly ask. Please help us.

Loyalty Missions are side-quests you can do for the many races of The EBOTT Cluster. They can get more difficult as they progress, but each one you complete highers the PEACE Counter. And in return, you can get something very valuable in return for your hard work! Credits, nourishment, accessories, weapons, armor, perhaps even new ships...a lot of the harder Loyalty Missions can take place in another planet entirely.

But sometimes, a little help can go a long way in your endeavors. You won't wanna miss out on it."

"Wow....Ranida, I've been on quite a few adventures myself. You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you. But all of this is so much BIGGER than I had first imagined. I can't even begin to imagine what all these different worlds must be like, and how many people I'll meet on the way! Even the technology and how convenient it is is freaking me out in the best way possible! I've never even held more than ten items at a time, much less have a use for junk items! And...it's honestly kind of overwhelming to think about."

"It sure is, human...space is a big place. And even the EBOTT Cluster is small compared to the dominion mankind has set up across the galaxy. Even here on Naddir, big things await you. But worry not. Big journeys begin with a small step."

"Heh, they sure do, Ranida...even journeys taking place hundreds of light years across space. Thank you for all of your help. I think with all of this, I'll be able to do my very best."

"The roads ahead are long ones, human. Keep your eyes open, learn a little more each day, and stay DETERMINED!"

Frisk smiled with a resolute expression on their face and nodded, ready to move on to the next big thing.

Another puzzle!

-------

"IN ONE OF THESE HERE CHAMBERS IS A PRIZE, A SWITCH, AND AN ALIEN ENCOUNTER! CAN YOU FIND THEM ALL? - Ranida "

This seemed to be the alien counterpart to the "falling-hole" puzzle. This time, Frisk was faced with six transporters that resembled green pads. They stepped on one that led down to the first chamber.

DON-KZZZEW!!

"A-AAH! C-Crud, how'd I--!!"

Causing them to stumble dizzily out of the pad, like they suddenly got vertigo upon being transported so SUDDENLY. That wasn't falling into a hole, that was teleportation! INSTANT Teleportation at that, causing them to trip their way out of the pad. And run directly into....

A Vegetoid came out of the earth!

- It looked exactly like the Vegetoids he knew from the Underground! Right down to the same facial expression!
- This one calls itself Vegetoid-CARROT
- The Vegetoid is downplaying its own sentience, doing its best to look like a credible vegetable.

"Serving Size: 1 Alien. Part of this complete breakfast."

Frisk pats their stomach, looking hungry. And for extra effect, their stomach rumbled upon realizing that they actually WERE hungry! This convinced the Vegetoid to take action.

"Eat your greens."

A flurry of hazardous carrots later, and a glowing green carrot was launched towards them! With reflexes and speed they learned back in the Underground, Frisk grabbed at the carrot, and successfully ate it, gaining back 2 HP.

"Ate your greens. Don't forget to see the others, Vegetoid-BROCCOLI, Vegetoid-DEWBUGLE, Vegetoid-TOMATO, and Vegetoid-TENDRILWEED."

"Wait, did you say--"

Vegetoid Loyalty Missions:
[1/5] Spare 5 Vegetoids.
Spare High Gardener Parsnik.
Build a Vegetoid Mobile Terrarium.
Buy a Madvert Accessory, advertising the Vegetoid Agricultural Industry's brand.
Eliminate invasive species in Vegetoid Planeterrariums.
Eliminate invasive species in Vegetoid Wildlife reserves.
Set up anti-piracy security measures.
Set up Trade Route with planet Quarius III.
Set up Trade Route with planet Calderran.

"WELL...that particular side quest is gonna take a while. Hope Vegetoids are common here...I'm not even gonna have room for Butterscotch-Cinnamon pie if these freaks keep stuffing me with healthy food..."

Frisk hastily ran back onto the Teleportation pad, landing back up on the first floor in an instant, and tripping over their own feet upon exiting. Rather than go straight to the switch area, three more chambers to visit! Starting with the second transporter.

DON-KZZZEW!!

NEVER gonna get used to that...but they found an item!

You found a Chromatoribbon!

You equipped the Chromatoribbon!

SO....this was considerably weirder. But luckily for them, it still looked cute! And somewhat hypnotizing to other Aliens looking at it, since it seems to constantly change color, like an octopus's skin. Technology! Go figure!

DON-KZZZEW!!

The second chamber to visit! As suspected, Nebulook was lying there helplessly, having only turned its eyes around to see Frisk.

"I fell down a hole...now I can't get up...go on without me--wait. Ghosts can fly, can't they? Oh well...."

Nebulook simply dissipated out of sight at that moment. But as he left, Frisk saw something in the grass!

You found a Nebula Jewel!

A piece of jewelry whose interior looks like a nebula cloud. They're pretty sure that this would cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars on Earth! They should probably give this back to Nebulook, as they decided to store it away instead of equipping it. And last stop!

DON-KZZZEW!!

The second Vegetoid encounter....

- This thing...looked NOTHING like the previous Vegetoid. It looked like some kind of trumpet-like fruit thing with a gelatinous bulb at the end, which if full of a brown-orange liquid.
- This one calls itself Vegetoid-DEWBUGLE.
- The Vegetoid is downplaying its own sentience. But seems slightly more excitable than the other Vegetoid.

"Serving Size: 1 Alien. I'm delicious compared to the others!"

Unsure of what else to do...Frisk pats their stomach and licks their chops, prompting the strange Vegetoid to take action.

"Eat your earthens!"

I.e. launching a flurry of gelatinous fruits at Frisk, before they ended up grabbing the green one. And turning curiously to the Vegetoid before asking...

"Um...pardon me. I've never had a Dewbugle before. How do I eat it...?

"Simple. Just pop off the stem, and drink the liquid inside!"

"Oh, here, lemme try."

Felt like trying to open up a water balloon without spilling the contents all over themselves. But luckily, they popped off the stem, and drank it, causing Frisk to have different expressions through their face while drinking it. Curiosity. Recognition. Confusion. And finally....

"OH. OH MY. UUM..."

"Ate your earthens! Be sure to find the others in the cave!"

KZZZEW!!

Practically broken into a run, they transported themselves out, found the switch, and unlocked the gate to the next room.

---------

"To deactivate the gate blocking the door off, you must flip all of the Gravity-Flipping Switches. Can you get to them all? - Ranida"

This was troubling. There aren't four cleverly hidden switches on the same level as them? There are four cleverly hidden switches, on on the floor, two on the walls, one on the ceiling, all of which they needed to get by shifting the room's gravity! Further confirmed by the presence of Roulette Wheel-like devices on each floor, which each had an orb. Flipping the similarly colored switch would trigger these Wheel devices to change the gravity towards its position!

Yeesh....they remember the good old days when they didn't even have to put so much effort into these puzzles.

Flip the Blue switch. The Blue Gravity Wheel on the ceiling is activated, causing Frisk to fall upwards until they landed on the ceiling. Now, find the Red switch! Up until......

- It entirely resembles the Loox from back at home. Albeit this one is wearing armor, and is currently pointing a blaster rifle at Frisk.
- This one calls itself Loox: Beatbrow.
- This one is desperate, eyeing Frisk's equipment.

"Don't treat me like the others, and maybe I'll go easy on you!"

- The Vegetoid they saw resembled a large yellow carrot with the Vegetoid face, surrounded by a mess of smaller vegetable "tendrils".
- This one calls itself Vegetoid-TENDRILWEED.
- This one seems to be forgetting what it's doing here.

"Uh...oh, right! Serving Size: One Alien. Did you eat your yellows yet?"

- The Migosp entirely resembles the one back at home, except it's holding a weapon resembling a jar full of fireflies.
- This one calls itself Migo Migragus
- This one is pretending to be mindlessly subservient to the other two. But is just hanging out with the wrong crowd.

"OBEY THE HIVEMIND. DESTROY THE INDIVIDUAL-MINDED FREAKS OF NATURE."

Frisk looked alarmed, seeing all three of them begin attacking them with a flurry of glowing red eye-plasma, falling yellow tendril vegetables, and a swarm of fireflies. Luckily...this was their time to practice using weaponry as defense. They charged up their Ray Gun, seeing the familiar ATTACK gauge, and lined up all three white lines to the glowing green line in the center. PERFECT. Aiming at the ones flying closest to them without aiming for that attackers, they opened fire, and cleared the field in front of them.

ZZEEWW-PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW!!! PEEW PEEW PEEW!!!

Managing to successfully shoot down the vegetables, eye plasma, and firefly swarms, they lowered their weapons, and took the next action.

As the Loox was getting ready to shoot Frisk again, the child did something that surprised it. They offered him a kind smile, and stepped forward to share the healing green tendril with them.

"W-wait...don't you know this will heal me? What are you playing at, human?"

"Nothing. I'm just being nice to you. Because I wanna!"

"Because...you want to? WHY? People don't act like that towards Eyewalkers! They don't just be nice to a bunch of...!"

"People who remain accused of a crime committed by the previous generation, more than a hundred years ago, having taken drastic measures to survive. Is that why you pick on people, Loox...?"

"Why ELSE would I?! People do it to me all the time, so why shouldn't I do it to them?! People are panicky, stupid, and hold on to grudges for the most idiotic reasons...but you seem to get it."

"I can't deny, Loox. People can be REALLY dumb sometimes. But if you just stay like you are, stealing stuff from people, hurting others, and only thinking about your own survival, then things won't progress for you or your people."

"And when will they, huh?!"

"By being the exception. Being the opposite of the expectation. It may not be easy, and past mistakes aren't easily forgiven....but the path to redemption is a worthwhile one. I know. I've been on that path, saw it through, and made my life an unforgettable experience...and I believe in your ability to do the same."

"You...you do...? You really are different, human...nobody has ever said anything like that to me...not even my friends or family...are you actually sincere about all this stuff you're saying...human...?"

The child nodded and gave the Loox a warm smile, setting the healing tendril vegetable in their hand. Finally causing a single tear to appear from the Loox's eye. Prompting them to take a second look at their blaster rifle, before frustratedly throwing it onto the ground, and walking off.

"Human...you can use that rifle. I don't want it anymore. I'm not the meanest thing on this planet, nor do I want to be anymore. But um...thank you...for believing in me..."

LOOX SPARED!

And now, only one last Alien to spare: Migosp.

"Mmm, cha cha cha~!"

Noticing that the other Aliens were turning away, leaving it alone with Frisk, it proceeded to do the same wavy-armed dance that Frisk had come to know and love from Migosp. Smiling as the little bug danced without a care in the world, before dancing off the battlefield itself.

MIGOSP SPARED!

After all this time...Frisk has still got it.

But what happened next caught them completely by surprise! The three Aliens that picked on Frisk just now had gotten up. And each one of them had left to flip the three other switches in the room, prompting the gate to the next room to open, effectively solving the puzzle for them!

"W-wow...you guys, thank you!"

"Heh, no human...thank YOU."

The Loox gave the human child a smile before Frisk walked into the last room before Toriel's house. And unsurprisingly, Ranida was right there. Next to the door where the Toy Knife would be.

"Hey Frisk, just between me and you...I think I saw Toriel coming home this way with some groceries. I know she can be nice, but she's also intimidating! And a tad possessive so...be careful.

By the way, you'll want the item in this next room. If you have any more questions, come to me after getting it!"

Frisk nodded and headed into the room to find another computer chip of some sorts! Inserting it into another slot on their glove, they discovered what the chip is used for.

You found the Omni-Blade: Blade Function
.

"Hm...Omni-Blade, Omni-Blade, what IS the Omni-Blade...?"

Frisk heads back out the door to go consult with Ranida once again."

"Have any questions for me, human?"

♥>Omni-Blade
>Weapon Modes

"The Omni-Blade is something of a misnomer. This is basically the "tool" function of the multitool, which can re-shape itself into just about any kind of tool, whether it be for reparation, construction, or deconstruction. Something of a holographic Swiss Army Knife. However, the BLADE function allows for the Omni-Tool to project blades that not only serve as construction tools, but also melee weapons as well. They work surprisingly well at cutting, and can do a LOT of damage to Aliens and Machinery alike. Don't get carried away now!"

>Omni-Blade
♥>Weapon Modes
>KILL Counter

"You'll probably start to realize that not everything in the EBOTT Cluster is friendly. Some particularly mean aliens mean BUSINESS. A lot of them resort to what I like to call "Bullet Hell", a short term for projectiles pouring down on your head like rain. However, you're lucky, because your utility belt allows you to have five weapons equipped at any given time! Your first two being your Ray Gun and Omni-Blade. But in the midst of battle, you can switch between three other weapons of your choice to act offensively and defensively. You'll have to equip them before battle though, since you can't equip and un-equip weapons in the middle of a fight."

>Omni-Blade
>Weapon Modes
♥>KILL Counter

"This is a very serious matter, human....all I'm really going to say about this is: Don't actively kill anybody. Defending yourself from Aliens attacking YOU is one thing, but Aliens will almost always have 1 HP left after a fight. Your weapons aren't made to Instakill, but at best incapacitate others into being unable to fight back. And that's when you show MERCY.

If you don't, and kill them off while they're down...the KILL Counter goes up. Civilians will flee from you. You'll lose valuable friends. Services will become unavailable to you. And other people will become even more hostile towards you than before, aiming to kill you off as soon as possible, perhaps with the intention of opening the barrier and causing the extinction of your entire species. Please, for your sake and theirs...don't become a killer. Give them some MERCY, human."

"I know...I'm surprised I even have this many weapons to start with, but I know what to do, Ranida."

"Good! In that case, I wish you luck, human. Remember! Stay DETERMINED!"

Frisk nodded and gave the Froggit a thumbs-up, before heading into the last room...

-------

Right on cue, Toriel came from behind the tree, using her cell phone to try and contact Frisk. Until she saw the child walk right in through the door. Gasping before running up to the child.

"Oh my! How did you get over here, my child? Are you hurt?"

Frisk shook their head, while giving Toriel a kind smile.

"Oh, but I'm sorry for leaving you alone for so long...it was quite irresponsible for me to leave you there. But you've proven yourself to be a very smart and DETERMINED young child. And for that...

Come inside! I have a surprise for you!

Seeing such a cute, tidy house up ahead in the midst of Naddir's Ruins, and the thought of Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie...fills Frisk with DETERMINATION.
WOW...took a LOT of work to get this big ol' infodump down.

As you may have guessed, a ton of this is based off of Mass Effect, considering how futuristic everything is in that game. Right down to the Omni-Tool and Omni-Gel. But squint your eyes a bit, and you'll also find a Dragonball reference in here!! :D

Seriously, capsules make EVERYTHING easier.  Just think of how weird it'd be if THIS Outertale Frisk walked into the Underground. XD
